Executive Female Health Screen

We recognise that some women require a health screen that is personally tailored to their needs, and our Full Executive Female Health Screen incorporates an assessment aimed at reassuring any concerns that you might have regarding your health and fitness.

A specially trained health screening nurse will be assigned to you throughout, and after explaining the procedure will perform some investigations. Results from blood and urine tests will be available during your consultation with the Doctor.

We hope to reassure your most pressing concerns regarding your health and fitness, and that our specialised investigations, together with a full personalised report will help to guide you towards a healthier and more contented future.

Our Executive Screening Programme follows guidelines on recommended best clinical practice, and our physicians are highly experienced in this field.

The Executive Health Screen includes:

  • Lifestyle questionnaire: (This will be sent to you in advance of your appointment.)
  • A full consultation with the doctor which will last up to an hour, and includes a discussion about your medical history and lifestyle, some of your test results and an in-depth full physical examination.

Investigations included:

  • Height and weight measurements
  • Body Mass Index
  • Waist to Hip Ratio
  • Resting Electrocardiogram (ECG)
  • Cervical Smear (if clinically indicated)
  • Pelvic Examination
  • Breast Examination and instruction on self examination
  • Blood Pressure
  • Lung Function Test
  • Hearing Test
  • Vision Screen
  • Urine Test
  • Stool Test (if aged 50yrs or over)

A Comprehensive Blood Analysis will assess:

  • Full Blood Count (to look for anaemia and immune dysfunctions)
  • Fasting Blood Glucose
  • Kidney Function
  • Liver Function
  • Measurement of Lipids (full cholesterol profile)
  • Thyroid function (if over 50 or clinically indicated)

At Capital Health, our health screens include a full breast examination and advice about breast awareness. You will have time to ask your screening doctor any further questions you may have about breast screening and mammography at the time of your consultation. Digital mammography will be charged for as a separate item and is not included as part of a standard health screen. The result of a mammogram will be sent to you as part of your health screening report.

Occasionally women wish to add additional tests to their health screen where clinically necessary. To keep the cost of the main health screen to a minimum these have been added as optional extras, but do have an additional charge:

  • Digital Mammography
  • Breast Ultrasound
  • Chest X-Ray
  • Exercise Test

These tests will be at the discretion of the physician and will be performed at The Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth

A full medical report will be dispatched to you within 10 working days. This includes all your test results along with explanations and recommendations on your lifestyle. Any clinical problems will be explained. Should a serious, unforeseen abnormality be detected, the doctor will contact you immediately by telephone.

Although screening is highly beneficial, no test can be a 100% guarantee of future health, but every step is taken to minimise false positive and false negative results.
