Executive Male Health Screen

Our full Executive Male Health Screen is a comprehensive screening programme addressing the important health risks in men.

Our health screening team consists of a specialist physician and you will be assigned a dedicated screening nurse who will assist with the explanation of procedure and will perform some of the tests. Results from blood and urine tests will be available during your consultation with the Doctor.

The Executive Screening Programme follows guidelines on recommended best clinical practice, and our physicians are highly experienced in this field.

Based on the test results and medical examination, appropriate modifications to diet, lifestyle and exercise can be recommended and we hope to reassure your most pressing concerns regarding health and fitness.

Specific investigations, together with a full personalised report will help to guide you towards a healthier and more contented future.

The Executive Health Screen includes:

  • Lifestyle questionnaire (This will be sent to you in advance of your appointment.)
  • A full consultation with the doctor which will last up to an hour and includes a discussion about your medical history and lifestyle, some of your test results and an in-depth physical examination.

Investigations included:

  • Height and weight measurements
  • Body Mass Index
  • Waist to Hip Ratio
  • Resting Electrocardiogram (ECG)
  • Blood Pressure
  • Lung Function Test
  • Hearing Test
  • Vision Screen
  • Urine Test
  • Stool Test (if aged 50 yrs or over)
  • Testicular Examination - and instructions on self examination.
  • Prostate Examination (if aged 50yrs or over)

A Comprehensive Blood Analysis to assess:

  • Full Blood Count (to look for anaemia and immune dysfunctions)
  • Fasting Blood Glucose
  • Kidney Function
  • Liver Function
  • Measurement of Lipids (includes a full cholesterol profile)
  • Prostate Specific Antigen - PSA (performed if clinically indicated in the over 50's after discussion)

  • Occasionally men may wish to add additional tests to their health screen where clinically necessary. To keep the cost of the main health screen to a minimum these have been added as optional extras, but do have an additional charge:

  • Chest x-ray
  • Exercise Tolerance Test

These tests will be done at the discretion of the physician.

A full medical report will be dispatched to you within 10 working days. This includes all your test results along with explanations and recommendations on your lifestyle. Any clinical problems will be explained. Should an unforeseen abnormality be detected, the doctor will contact you immediately by telephone.

Although screening is highly beneficial, no test can be a 100% guarantee of future health, but every step is taken to minimise false positive and false negative results.
